We are glad you are part of the Georgia Scholastic Press Association's extensive network of student publications. Since its founding in 1928, GSPA has supported many different forms of scholastic media, which currently include broadcasts, literary magazines, newsmagazines, newspapers, news websites and yearbooks. Deadline to submit to yearbook and literary magazine contests approaching

GSPA’s summer contest featuring yearbooks and literary magazines is coming to a close on Aug. 31. Books published in the 2024-25 academic year are eligible.

Apply to be a GSPA Ambassador

Energetic and engaged students interested in expanding their leadership skills, bringing their vision and shaping GSPA are invited to apply to be part of the GSPA Student Ambassadors program. Applications are due Aug. 31.

Now is the best time to renew your membership for the 2025-26 academic year in order to take advantage of the discounted early bird rate of $40. The membership fee for a second adviser from the same school is only $10. Rates increase starting Sept. 1.

Save the date for the next Fall Conference!

Mark your calendars for the next Fall Conference Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the University of Georgia’s Tate Student Center. The event will feature several rounds of concurrent sessions covering a variety of topics of importance to scholastic journalists and advisers.

Submit a pitch to lead a session at the Fall Conference

Teachers and student staff members from all publication and production types who are interested in presenting at the Fall Conference are invited to submit their ideas for consideration by Sept. 7. Please submit a separate form for each pitch.

Four programs were hosted in June at the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication focusing on entertainment and media studies, advertising and public relations, multimedia journalism and broadcast news.
