One week remains to submit your best work from broadcasts, newsmagazines, newspapers and news websites in our General Excellence and Individual Award contests. Please note this is a firm deadline because the Spring Workshop and Awards is March 25.

Spend a week at the University of Georgia immersed in one of the following subject areas: Advertising and Public Relations, June 10-14; Broadcast Journalism, June 10-14; Multimedia Journalism, June 17-21; and Entertainment and Media Studies, June 17-21.  Registration is now available on the UGA Summer Academy’s website. Participants are accepted on a rolling basis. There is a max of 20 participants for each camp.

The celebration of JEA's 100th anniversary has garnered special recognition, including a commendation from Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp.

Registration is open for the 2024 Southern Interscholastic Press Association’s Convention March 1-3 at the Marriott Columbia and the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of South Carolina. The convention will mark SIPA’s 100th year. Among presenters will be anchorman Steve Crocker from Birmingham, Alabama.
