PAUL NICKLES, GSPA STUDENT ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER, AND SIBYL POSTON, CO-EDITORS OF THOMPSON HIGH SCHOOL’S ARCHIVE YEARBOOK, SHARE TIPS AND TRICKS FOR GROWING STAFFS DURING THE GSPA FALL CONFERENCE OCT. 22, 2018, AT THE UGA TATE STUDENT CENTER.

GSPA invites advisers and student staff members from all publication and production types who are interested in presenting at the 2019 Fall Conference Thursday, Sept. 19, at The Classic Center in Athens, Georgia, to submit their ideas for consideration.

Sessions are designed around six skills-based tracks. They include Design, General (Nuts & Bolts), Leadership, Multimedia, Photojournalism and Writing. (Don't feel boxed in by these categories; there is a lot of room for creativity!) Attendees will be representing broadcasts, creative/literary magazines, news magazines, newspapers, news websites and yearbooks. Sessions last 50 minutes.

The conference is an excellent platform for students to share their knowledge and best practices with their peers while gaining valuable public speaking experience.

Email gspa@uga.edu with the following information by Aug. 25, 2019. Please include “GPSA session pitch” in the subject line.
