Commendation for JEA's 100th

The Journalism Education Association is celebrating its 100-year milestone. Founded in 1924, JEA has been at the forefront of shaping journalism education and empowering future generations of storytellers.

To commemorate this achievement, JEA has launched a website showcasing the association's rich history, its impact on communities, and vision for the future.

One of the highlights of the centennial celebration is the upcoming Scholastic Journalism Week, Feb. 19-23. Themed "Here to Stay.”

Throughout the year, JEA is also encouraging its members, students, and partners to engage in activities. There are numerous ways to get involved, from expressing gratitude through the "thank-a-member" feature, to participating in centennial contests in writing, photography, and broadcasting.

The celebration of JEA's 100th anniversary has garnered national recognition, including an official commendation from Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp.
