GSPA and its members from across the state celebrated the best in scholastic journalism at the 2026 Spring Workshop and Awards March 18 at the University of Georgia’s Georgia Center for Continuing Education.

Recipients of awards administered throughout the year were recognized, and the Spring General Excellence and Individual Awards results in Broadcasts, Newspapers, Newsmagazines and News Websites were announced. A pdf version of award winners is also available here.

Twenty-nine publications were entered into the spring General Excellence contest and more than 600 individual award entries were submitted into 38 categories. Congratulations to all of the winners and honorees!

General Excellence critiques will be emailed to advisers who entered the competitions later this week. Plaques, framed certificates and printed certificates not picked up at the awards ceremony will be mailed.
