On-site critiques at the 2025 Fall Conference

If you are interested in an on-site critique, please sign up advance. On-site critiques are offered to newsmagazines, newspapers, news websites and yearbooks. Critiques are 20 minutes per publication and are limited to only the slots of time available. No more than four students can participate and an adviser or school chaperone must be present. There is no cost for a critique.

There are two steps to be completed by advisers only. Advisers may sign up for a critique time until each slot has been filled via Signup Genius. Be prepared to include a link to your publication’s website or a shared Google Drive file for critics to review. (If providing a link to a Google Drive, please make sure the sharing permissions are set so that the document can be viewed without needing special permission). You do not have to submit a copy, but it is helpful.

Please sign up for only one available time per publication.

Step 2: To access the Critique Guide, which is a Google form, follow this link: https://forms.gle/z8NK9vMsaXSjFtFbA. Filling out this form in advance helps the critique process run more smoothly, but it is not required.
